North-West
QualTech Awards |
|
Instituted in 2004 by PTU’s Gian Jyoti School of TQM & Entrepreneurship, the North-West QualTech Awards, have been a platform for recognition of excellence in team performance. Our focus has been middle managers working in cross functional teams for quality improvement.
Over the years, these awards have acquired a lot of prestige in the North-West region. More than 150 teams from leading organisations of the region, committed to Quality, have participated in the last five conventions. A number of top-class quality improvement projects have been presented by them. Winners are selected by an eminent Jury, comprising of business leaders, after a rigorous process of evaluation.
Competition is open for both Manufacturing and Service companies. This year, we have added a separate award for the service sector. |

Process |

- An applicant team submits a 25 page project report, for a
specific category, to PTU's Gian Jyoti School of TQM &
Entrepreneurship. There is no restriction on the number of
applications per organization in each category.
- Each project report is assigned to three Examiners for
individual scoring. One of the three examiners is a
professional from the School.
- Based on the examiners’ evaluation, the finalists are
short-listed in each category. The short-listed projects are then
circulated to Panel of Judges.
- The short-listed finalist project teams present their projects to
the Panel of Judges, over the one-day event, North-West
QualTech Convention.
- The winners are announced and awards are presented at an
Awards Ceremony in the evening on the same day.
